4 reasons why you should try coliving in Singapore for at least 3 months
If you were to compare the minimum lease for HDB and Cove, HDB requires you to stay for at least half a year. At Cove, you only have to commit for a minimum of 3 months first, before deciding to extend your stay with us.
So you don’t have to worry about not being able to commit for a long period of time, not liking the place or worry about not being able to adjust in the new environment. In fact, many Coveys have utilised this flexible lease to actually learn more about themselves or ‘test the water’.

Try living on your own
Living on your own after graduating or once you find a stable job may still be a foreign idea to most Asians, especially Singaporeans. But lately, more and more youngsters are doing this as it gives them the freedom to be themselves and at the same time teaches them how to live independently.
It may seem fun and exciting to some, but scary to others. So why not rent a home with us for 3 months and see how things go?
Use this time to do the things that you’ve always wanted to do but didn’t have the chance to when you’re sharing a space with your family. Some of the things could be having new plants, cooking or other hobbies that you can do at home!
Once you get a feel of living on your own, you can be the judge of whether you wish to continue living by yourself or go back to living with family. What’s important is that you follow whatever your heart tells you to do.
You’ll only know if you enjoy the coliving life or not once you experience it yourself. Take these 3 months as a trial period before you commit to a longer stay with us.
Live with your partner
For you lovebirds out there, we know you can’t get enough of your partner. After spending the whole day with them, you still miss their presence after that, right?
Why not live together with your partner so that you can be with each other most of the time?
Living with your partner will also expose you to their (hidden) habits, and this will also strengthen your relationship as you get to understand each other better.
Not only that, you don’t have to explain to your parents why your partner is in your room for long hours, if you know what I mean. 😏
Say bye-bye to expensive staycations which might cost you hundreds of dollars per night just so you can have private time with your other half. What more, during this pandemic, you’ll never know when the hotel that you’ve booked will be turn into a SHN facility! So having a room at Cove will guarantee you your private time with your partner.
You can also take this time to decide if you’re ready to take the step further into your relationship and maybe submit that BTO application that you’ve been talking about.
Live in a new environment… regularly
Another great thing about the minimum 3 months lease is that you can have a change of environment every 3 months. Yes, you read that right!
If you’re someone who loves discovering new things and new places, you can do that by coliving with Cove.
In other words, you can property hop within Cove homes. Once you’ve discovered the neighbourhood that you currently live in for 3 months, you can move to another Cove property in another neighbourhood and repeat the process once again.
It’s like living the Nomad life but the Singapore version!
Stay with us while you wait for your home
Is your HDB BTO delayed? Or is your home under renovation?
This is another reason you should consider Cove as your temporary home. While waiting for your home to be completed, you can live with us and enjoy the amenities we provide. You don’t have to worry about setting up the wifi, utilities and everything else as we’ve already got that covered.
Also, if your renovation is further delayed, you can always extend your stay with us. Like what I’ve said, we’re pretty flexible!
